Penny Pants Pattern - Adult Sizing

The Penny Pants are a size inclusive, cool girl barrel leg pant with a relaxed fit and a high rise waist. They’re perfect for breezy farmer’s market mornings in linen, in a soft twill during winter layered with a chunky sweater for a coffee run, and the sweltering summer park days in a cotton batiste.

Their shape is versatile but different with *just* enough trendy-ness to them. They feature darts that hit just below the knee and back legs, in-seam pockets, a foldover waistband, comfortable ease in the legs, and a hem that is kissing the ankle bone.

Adult Penny Pants Fabric Requirements

The amount of fabric you will need is contingent upon your sizing, height, and width of your fabric. Below is a table showing fabric requirements for 44 inch wide fabric, as well as 60 inch fabric. If you are taller than 5’4”, have a longer inseam than 27.5”, or are choosing a fabric that may have more shrinkage than most, it is advised to add an extra 1/4 yard (.2m) when selecting your fabric to make sure you have enough. There’s nothing worse than not being able to fit your project on your fabric, so better safe than sorry!
