Sizing

My patterns are created with body inclusivity in mind, across a 19 size range. Body measurement charts should reflect your exact measurements. All bodies are different, so you may find that your bust puts you in a different size than your waist, and your waist puts you in a different size than your hip.

Once you’ve determined your size(s), I recommend checking your measurements against the finished garment chart of the pattern you are using. This will tell you how much ease is in the pattern, more easily explained as how much room you’ve got.

For example, my bust measurement is 34 inches, which puts me in a size 6 in the body measurements chart of my Mollie Dress pattern. The bust measurement in the finished garment chart for the size 6 is 38.4 inches, meaning there are 4.4 total inches of ease in the chest, making it a relaxed roomy fit.

Comparing your measurements against the finished garment measurements in any pattern is important to understand how something will fit you. If I wanted less ease in the bust area, I can choose a size lower to reduce that ease.
